FAQ

What wax do you use in your candles? All OBC candles are made with a premium coconut apricot wax blend — non-toxic, clean burning, and free from synthetic additives.

What types of wicks do you use? All OBC candles are made with 100% natural wicks. Depending on the candle, we use either wooden wicks or cotton wicks — both are natural, clean burning, and free from synthetic materials. Wooden wicks create a soft crackling sound while burning, while cotton wicks provide a smooth, steady flame.

How long do your candles burn? Burn time varies by size. Our 9 oz candles burn for approximately 50–60 hours. For best results, trim cotton wicks to ¼ inch and wooden wicks to ⅛ inch before each burn, and allow the wax to melt fully to the edges on the first burn. When trimming wooden wicks, make sure to remove all the charred black wood entirely — the flame needs to reach fresh wood to burn effectively. Leaving too much char may cause the candle to self-extinguish shortly after lighting.

Do you offer gift wrapping? Yes — we offer gift wrapping including a white box or black box, tissue paper, and a ribbon. You can add this to any order at checkout.

Can I place a custom or bulk order for events? Absolutely. We offer customized favors in bulk for weddings, birthdays, and special events. Labels can be personalized and multiple scents are available. Email us at sales@oblossomc.com for details.

Do you offer gift cards? Yes — OBC gift cards are available in denominations of $25, $50, $100, and $200. They are sent via email and can be used on any order.

What is your return policy? We accept returns within 30 days of receiving your order. Items must be unused and in their original packaging. Opened candles and personal care products are final sale. Contact us at sales@oblossomc.com to start a return.

Why does my candle have a white film or uneven surface? This is completely normal for coconut apricot wax — it's called "frosting" and is a natural characteristic of premium plant-based waxes. It does not affect the scent or burn quality of your candle.

How do I get the best scent throw from my candle? Burn your candle in a smaller enclosed space for the strongest scent experience. Always allow the wax to melt fully to the edges on the first burn — this prevents tunneling and maximizes fragrance release throughout the life of the candle.

How do I contact you? Reach us at sales@oblossomc.com or through the Contact Us page on our website. We'll get back to you as soon as possible.

Do your candles contain lead wicks? No — lead wicks have been banned in the United States since 2003 by the Consumer Product Safety Commission. All OBC candles use 100% natural wooden or cotton wicks that are completely free from lead and any other metal cores.

What is the difference between a wax tablet and a wax melt? Wax melts are designed to be melted in a wax warmer to release fragrance. Wax tablets are solid decorative pieces that release a subtle scent passively — no heat required. Simply place them in a drawer, closet, or small space and they naturally fragrance the area over time. Wax tablets are flame-free and perfect for spaces where you want a gentle, consistent scent without a warmer or open flame. Open the can for the wax tablet.
