The Story Behind Kabah Perfume
There's a moment when you come home from Hajj and realize the scent is gone.
Not the memory — that stays. But the specific, layered fragrance that surrounded every hour of Tawaf, every prayer in the Haram, every moment when the marble was cool and the air carried something you had never smelled anywhere else — that goes the moment you board the plane home.
OBC's founder completed her pilgrimage and came home carrying that memory. And she wanted a way to keep it.
She looked for the scent everywhere around her. What she found was never right. Nothing had the specific combination she remembered — so beautiful, so complex, so unique, and nowhere to be found outside of Makkah itself. Not in any candle. Not in any perfume. Not in anything sold here.
She couldn't find it. So she spent a lot of time and research trying to make it herself.
Many Attempts
The first version was not as precise as she had hoped.
It was nice. But it did not replicate the scent she had smelled there. The notes were the right ones — amber, rose, oud, Egyptian musk — but the balance wasn't. It smelled like something inspired by Makkah, not like Makkah itself. Not like the memory she was trying to hold onto.
She went back. Adjusted. Tested. Went back again.
It took many attempts.
When it was finally right, she knew. It smelled like what she had been trying to capture since she came home from her pilgrimage — that beautiful, complex scent she could not find anywhere around her, now in something she could light in her own home. And she wanted to make sure she could do that for others as well.
Who This Candle Is For
For the first night home after Umrah, when you're not quite back yet and you want to stay somewhere between there and here a little longer.
For the last ten nights of Ramadan, when the house should feel like it's holding something sacred. When you want the room to carry the same weight it would if you were there.

She made it for herself first, to hold onto a memory she didn't want to lose. Then she realized she could give that same thing to everyone else who came home from their pilgrimage carrying the same feeling.
The Candle
Amber, rose, oud, and Egyptian musk. Coconut-apricot wax. Wooden wick. Hand poured in Illinois in small batches — by the same person who made many attempts before it was right.
